Following the November 8 screening of the live broadcast of the opening session of the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, which was attended by more than 120 participants—including all members of the town’s four leading bodies, mid-level and senior officials of the government offices, and secretaries of all villages and communities—the Lüzhı Town Party Committee convened a special meeting of its central study group on November 10 to thoroughly study and grasp the spirit of the 18th National Congress.

Gathering in the golden autumn to sing of harmony, on October 27, to warmly welcome the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and vividly showcase the spirit of the town’s people—hardworking, pioneering, and innovative as they embark on a second wave of entrepreneurship and strive for transformation and upgrading to build a better home—the town of Luzhi solemnly presented the sixth “October Song Festival” at the ancient stage of the Jiangnan Cultural Park.

On October 24 and 25, Luzhi Town hosted a research team comprising experts from the provincial, municipal, and district levels, led by Zhang Wei, Deputy Director of the Township and Village Division of the Provincial Department of Housing and Urban–Rural Development, to conduct a comprehensive assessment and field investigation of Luzhi Town’s efforts to become a Jiangsu Provincial Garden‑Style Small Town. Lu Zhenhua, Secretary of the Luzhi Town Party Committee; Gu Hongjian, Town Mayor; Ju Hairong, Member of the Town Party Committee; and Wang Zonglin, Deputy Secretary of the Town Discipline Inspection Commission, accompanied the assessment team.

On the morning of October 21, the Second Session of the 17th People’s Congress of Luzhi Town was held at the Yangmingshan Garden Hotel in Luzhi. The session was attended by 80 deputies from all sectors of the town and 30 non-voting delegates.
