The Luzhi Tourism Party Branch visited Feng Menglong’s Former Residence for a study tour.

To celebrate the 103rd anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, further strengthen the ranks of Party members and cadres, and inspire all members of the branch to carry forward the Party’s glorious traditions, uphold their ideals and convictions, enhance their awareness of integrity and self-discipline, and exemplify pioneering leadership, the Luzhi Tourism Branch organized a visit to Feng Menglong’s former residence on July 9.
Feng Menglong was a renowned literary figure, dramatist, and thinker of the Ming dynasty. His path to official success was fraught with hardship: he did not become a “gongsheng” until the age of 57, and it was only at 61 that he was appointed magistrate of Shouning in Fujian, a post he held for four years. During his tenure, he reduced corvée labor, reformed bureaucratic practices, eliminated entrenched malpractices, rectified academic standards, and promoted measures that benefited the people—thus fostering a Shouning where the populace lived in peace and prosperity. Contemporary records describe the situation as follows: “The prison cells were often empty, so there was no need for the jailers to report that all prisoners had been released.”
Through study tours and educational visits, Party members and cadres have been reminded to strengthen their awareness of integrity and self-discipline, enhance their ability to resist corruption and stay free from degeneration, uphold rules and regulations, and observe discipline, striving to become qualified and exemplary Communist Party members. At the same time, they have been encouraged to adopt a proactive mindset, demonstrate professional competence, and assume concrete responsibilities, thereby contributing their wisdom and commitment to the company’s development, earnestly fulfilling their duties as Party members, actively serving the people, playing a pioneering and exemplary role, setting an example from the top down, and fostering a positive environment of clean governance and dedicated entrepreneurship.
