Luzhi Town is administered by Wuzhong District of Suzhou City and is located in the eastern part of the city. It borders the Wusong River to the north, Cheng Lake to the south, and Suzhou Industrial Park to the west, lying 18 kilometers from the city center. To the east, it is 58 kilometers from Shanghai. The town has a registered population of nearly 80,000 and a permanent resident population exceeding 200,000, with a total area of 114.42 square kilometers, including 32.81 square kilometers of water surface in Cheng Lake.

Luzhi boasts a difficult-to‑pronounce place name—and a locale that leaves an indelible impression. The character “Lü” in Luzhi is composed of three horizontal strokes, three vertical strokes, and  (a left‑upward flick) at the upper left—mirroring the historical shape of the local river network. With its fertile soil, mild climate, abundant rainfall, and picturesque scenery, it stands as a treasured corner of the Taihu Basin’s intricate waterway system, renowned as the “Hall of the Five Lakes” and the “Crossroads of Six Waters.”

Suzhou North Station on the Beijing–Shanghai High-Speed Railway: Take Line 2 from Suzhou North Station to Jinggul Road Station, then transfer to Bus Route 52 and get off at Luzhi Ancient Town Station.
Kunshan South Station on the Beijing–Shanghai High-Speed Railway: Take Kunshan Bus Route 111 and transfer to Route 109 to reach the Xiaoshi Road–Yucai Road stop.
◆ Urban Transportation
◇ Suzhou Public Transport: Express Line 5, Routes 52, 521, 523, 563, and 528.
◇ Kunshan Bus: Route 109 provides direct service from Xiaoshi Road–Yucai Road Station to the scenic area.
◇ Rail Transit: Take Metro Line 1 to Zhongnanjie Station, then transfer to bus route 528 and get off at Xiaoshilu Station.

Xihui Restaurant was founded in 1943, originally under the name “Dachun Guan Noodle Shop.” Following the 1956 merger of public and private enterprises, it came under the jurisdiction of the Luzhi Supply and Marketing Cooperative in Wuxian County, becoming a collective enterprise known as “Dachun Guan Official Noodle Shop.” In 1987, the restaurant underwent renovation and expansion and was renamed “Xihui Restaurant.” In 1998, as part of enterprise restructuring, Xihui Restaurant transitioned into a privately owned business. In June 2018, Xihui Restaurant was recognized as a member of the “Time-Honored Brands of China” program. In September 2018, its registered trademark, “Luzhi Dachun Guan,” was designated a “Time-Honored Brand of Suzhou.”
