To warmly welcome the successful convening of the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, vigorously promote new socialist values, and foster a positive atmosphere throughout the town for pursuing work and entrepreneurship, thereby inspiring young people to join the vigorous drive to advance the town’s “second‑stage entrepreneurial endeavor and transformation and upgrading,” on September 26, under the joint organization of the Luzhi Town Federation of Trade Unions, the Youth League Committee, the Women’s Federation, the Cultural and Sports Center, and the Publicity Office, the Luzhi Town All‑People Reading Festival—featuring a themed speech contest on the theme of “Dedication and Innovation”—was successfully held in Meeting Room 308 of the Town Government.
Following a joint review by various departments, 14 contestants emerged from a pool of 33 applicants. Among them were both newly graduated university students who have dedicated their youthful energy to grassroots rural communities and ordinary employees quietly working on the production front lines. Gathered together, they unanimously celebrated the touching stories of dedication and innovation unfolding around them, jointly painting a compelling picture of Luzhi Town’s “second entrepreneurial journey and transformation and upgrading,” while expressing their boundless loyalty and passion for their work. In the end, Zhao Qiuhong from Luzhi Tourism Company won unanimous acclaim from the judges and the audience with her sincere emotions and moving words, taking home the first prize.
As the contestants aptly put it, while a career fueled by passion is undeniably thrilling, it is precisely in ordinary roles that “dedication and innovation” are most essential for nurturing fruitful results. This speech event provided all attendees with an inspiring immersion in the values of dedication and innovation, reinforcing their resolve to stay committed to their duties and devote themselves to grassroots work. Participants unanimously expressed that they would take this occasion as an opportunity to refine their approaches to work and entrepreneurship, and to remain steadfastly aligned with Luzhi Town’s overarching development drive—its “second entrepreneurial journey and transformation and upgrading.”
