To further strengthen tourism safety during the Mid-Autumn and National Day holidays, on the morning of September 26, Hu Zhihui, Deputy Director of the Wuzhong District Bureau of Culture, Sports and Tourism, led an inspection team to assess workplace safety at the Luzhi Ancient Town scenic area, accompanied by relevant personnel from the Luzhi Tourism Company.
The inspection team conducted on-site visits to several scenic‑area attractions, guesthouses, and businesses to assess their workplace safety practices. They meticulously verified that fire extinguishers, smoke detectors, building structures, utility pipelines, and emergency firefighting equipment were all in proper working order. The team also carefully reviewed the scenic area’s report on workplace safety efforts and thoroughly inquired about holiday‑season activity schedules, visitor‑flow management, and on‑duty staffing arrangements.
Following the inspection, Hu Zhihui expressed full appreciation for the safety production efforts at the Luzhi Ancient Town scenic area and underscored several key requirements: First, enhance ideological awareness and strengthen the implementation of preventive measures. Scenic areas must meticulously plan holiday‑related workplace safety measures, conduct comprehensive safety inspections, promptly identify potential hazards, and swiftly implement corrective actions. Second, enrich the scenic area’s intrinsic value and enhance its capacity to drive secondary consumption. Broaden the management and operational strategies of scenic areas, expand offerings for secondary consumption, break away from traditional business models, and boost overall revenue. Third, strengthen traffic management and enhance time-based reservation systems. During the holiday period, visitor numbers surge. Scenic areas must rigorously implement the requirements of “capacity limits, advance reservations, and staggered peak times,” strengthen real-name‑based timed‑entry ticketing, and strictly manage visitor flows in accordance with the approved carrying capacities of each attraction, thereby effectively safeguarding order in the holiday tourism market. Fourth, strengthen on-duty and standby arrangements to enhance emergency response capabilities. Scenic areas must earnestly fulfill their principal responsibilities, strictly enforce the on-duty and guard‑keeping system, strengthen patrols and inspections, effectively enhance emergency response capabilities, and resolutely fortify the safety‑production defense line to ensure safe and stable tourism during holiday periods.
