As the old year gives way to the new and New Year’s Day arrives, all things are renewed for another year. Amidst heartfelt wishes, we bid farewell to 2023 and stride confidently into 2024, setting sail on a fresh journey. During this New Year holiday, the Luzhi Ancient Town scenic area was thoroughly prepared, exuding a serene atmosphere, with a steady stream of visitors flocking to the town to savor the delights of the festive season.
Ahead of the holiday, the scenic area has implemented specific measures to address environmental hygiene, market order, visitor services and operations, and safety management. Staff have conducted comprehensive safety inspections, independently checking fire‑fighting facilities and equipment, electrical wiring, emergency evacuation routes, emergency lighting, and the structural integrity of attractions. In addition, in coordination with relevant town departments, joint inspections were carried out on food safety. These efforts aim to further strengthen safety awareness, thoroughly identify and rectify potential hazards, prevent and eliminate safety incidents, and ensure a stable and positive outlook for tourism during the holiday period.
During the holiday period, all staff at the scenic area are on duty, with leadership taking shifts and a rigorous 24-hour on‑call system in place to effectively enhance emergency response capabilities. At the same time, security and cleaning personnel have been bolstered, patrol and inspection activities intensified, and the frequency of routine cleaning increased, ensuring optimal hygiene and orderly market conditions throughout the holiday and providing visitors with a safe and comfortable travel experience.
During this New Year’s holiday, the Luzhi Ancient Town scenic area maintained smooth and orderly operations, ensuring safety and stability, with no tourism complaints or safety incidents reported. According to statistics, the site welcomed a total of 5,000 visitors over the holiday period, generating direct revenue of RMB 67,300—up 2.04% and 1.82%, respectively, compared with the same period last year—and recovering to 33.11% and 53.50% of the levels recorded in the corresponding period of 2019.
