The Luzhi Ancient Town Scenic Area Conducts a Fire Safety Emergency Drill

As the Spring Festival holiday approaches, in order to further strengthen safety awareness, effectively enhance fire‑fighting and emergency rescue capabilities, and ensure the safety and stability of tourism during the holiday period, the Luzhi Ancient Town Scenic Area conducted a fire‑safety emergency drill on the morning of February 5. The town’s volunteer fire brigade and representatives from several frontline staff members took part in the exercise.
This event was held by the Jinli Bridge at the scenic area and consisted of two parts: a theoretical briefing and a hands-on drill. First, the town’s volunteer firefighters demonstrated how to use dry‑powder fire extinguishers, explaining key techniques and providing on‑site practice. They then simulated a fire in an ancient building and conducted a practical firefighting exercise. Using mobile electric pumps, water jets, and other equipment, the volunteer team drew water directly from the Zhongshi River to carry out an emergency response. Throughout the exercise, the team members moved swiftly, coordinated seamlessly, and executed their tasks with precision; the water jets delivered a steady stream, quickly bringing the simulated blaze under control, thus successfully completing the drill.
Through the implementation of this fire‑emergency drill, employees’ safety awareness and firefighting skills have been further strengthened, the fire‑fighting team’s real‑world operational capabilities and crisis‑response effectiveness have been enhanced, and a solid foundation has been laid for building a safe and secure scenic area.
