To thoroughly implement the spirit of the Wuzhong District’s meeting on rectification and upgrading of 4A‑level tourist attractions, enhance the brand image of Luzhi Ancient Town as a 4A‑level scenic area, and consolidate the achievements of its designation, Luzhi Town convened a meeting on the rectification and upgrading of the ancient town’s scenic area on August 15. Attending the meeting were Wang Zonglin, Member of the Party Committee and Deputy Mayor of Luzhi Town; Wang Xueming, Deputy Director of the Ancient Town Management Committee and Secretary of its Party Branch; Zhou Lei, Director of the Town Tourism Office and General Manager of the tourism company; Ling Li, Secretary of Baosheng Community; as well as heads of relevant departments within the Ancient Town Management Committee and all mid‑level and senior managers of the tourism company.
At the meeting, the results of the 2017 undercover inspection of the 4A‑level scenic area in Luzhi Town, Wuzhong District, were first reported. Zhou Lei, Director of the Town’s Tourism Office and General Manager of the tourism company, delivered a statement outlining three key areas: correctly recognizing the issues, analyzing and identifying their root causes, comparing findings against the relevant standards and promptly initiating corrective measures, as well as strengthening oversight and performance evaluation and implementing a reward‑and‑penalty mechanism.
Finally, Wang Zonglin, a member of the Town Party Committee and Deputy Mayor, pointed out that Luzhi Ancient Town Scenic Area, as the town’s sole national 4A‑level tourist attraction, has attracted widespread attention from all sectors of society. First, we must raise our awareness and strengthen our sense of crisis. We need to intensify efforts to implement routine oversight of the scenic area, upgrade tourism infrastructure, and continuously enhance management and service standards. Second, we must take concrete action and make genuine improvements, bolstering our sense of responsibility. All relevant departments should adopt a holistic perspective, align with the issues identified in the notification, set high standards, impose strict requirements, and carry out thorough rectification to elevate the quality of tourism services. Third, we must devote ourselves fully to remediation, fostering a strong sense of honor and accountability. Achieving 4A status is the highest accolade for a tourist site; attaining it is no easy feat, and maintaining it is even more challenging. Undertaking the necessary upgrades and improvements to sustain 4A certification is a weighty responsibility with far‑reaching implications. Fourth, we must prioritize workplace safety, cultivating a heightened sense of urgency, responsibility, and mission. Upholding a visitor‑centered approach, and seizing the opportunities presented by the national civilized city initiative and the “263” special campaign, we will comprehensively strengthen dynamic oversight of the scenic area’s safety, quality, and order, ensuring smooth passage in the next round of unannounced inspections and effectively safeguarding Luzhi’s positive image as a premier tourist destination.
