On the morning of December 12, the Luzhi Ancient Town Scenic Area invited Ms. Liu Xiwen, a non‑official expert from Wuzhong District, to conduct a safety and emergency‑response training titled “Preventing Illness, Caring for Health.” The session aimed to enhance all staff members’ awareness of first aid and safety, strengthen their ability to handle common accidental injuries promptly, and ensure they are proficient in self‑rescue and mutual‑assistance techniques. Attending the training were members of the Luzhi Culture and Tourism Group’s leadership team, heads and deputy heads of various departments, as well as the responsible personnel from Baosheng Temple, the Two‑Insurance Company, and the Luzhi Property Management Visitor Center.

First, Teacher Liu Xiwen integrated common case studies with real-life scenarios and, using clear and accessible language, provided attendees with a detailed overview of emergency response procedures for sudden incidents—such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation and artificial respiration—explaining step by step the key techniques and important precautions to observe during these procedures, thereby effectively linking theoretical knowledge to practical application. She then delved into preventive measures and strategies for managing major illnesses and common occupational diseases prevalent in the workplace, illustrating their causes, potential harms, and preventive approaches through concrete examples. Finally, she shared several practical health tips, including the importance of regular medical check-ups, guidelines for balanced nutrition, the benefits of reducing oil, salt, and sugar intake, quitting smoking and limiting alcohol consumption, and engaging in moderate physical activity. She emphasized that health is a way of life that requires us to make mindful choices in our daily routines.

Through this training, the scenic area’s staff have enhanced their overall emergency response capabilities and their health‑related literacy. They unanimously agreed that the program was not only an opportunity to acquire essential first‑aid skills but also a chance to cultivate greater health awareness. They plan to apply the knowledge gained in their daily lives—helping others while taking good care of themselves.
