To further enhance the ancient town of Luzhi’s capabilities in counter-terrorism preparedness and emergency response, firmly fortify its safety‑production safeguards, and ensure the continued stability of the tourism market, the Luzhi Ancient Town scenic area conducted an anti‑terrorism and riot‑control emergency drill on the morning of December 12. The event featured on-site training and guidance provided by officers from the Luzhi Police Station.
The event was divided into two phases: instruction and practical drills. First, Officer Niu provided the security team with a detailed briefing on fundamental counter-terrorism and anti-riot principles and response strategies, emphasizing the importance of remaining calm and reacting swiftly in emergency situations. He thoroughly explained the proper use of various anti-terrorism and anti-riot tools and demonstrated key techniques, which the security personnel then practiced firsthand. Next, police officers conducted a simulated real‑world confrontation as a minimal operational unit. Under Officer Niu’s direction, three officers—each armed with a baton, shield, and spear—engaged a “suspect,” positioning the shield at the front and the spear behind to form an effective defensive angle, successfully containing both the suspect’s attacks and attempts to flee. The entire sequence flowed smoothly, and the “suspect” was quickly subdued. Following this, police and security personnel jointly carried out another simulated live‑fire drill. Guided by the principle of “realistic training and rapid response,” officers employed on‑site instruction, hands‑on practice, and interactive discussions to further enhance the emergency response capabilities and practical skills of the scenic area’s security staff.
Through this drill, not only was the safety awareness of the scenic area’s security personnel enhanced, but the area’s capacity for rapid response and effective handling of sudden violent incidents was also put to the test, laying a solid foundation for strengthening our security defenses. Taking this exercise as an opportunity, our scenic area will deepen cooperation with the local police station, continuously reinforce its safety‑prevention system, and ensure the safety of people’s lives and property.
