On February 15, the first batch of guests for the “Celebrating the 10th Anniversary of Wuzhong District: Ten Thousand People Watch Wuzhong” event arrived in Luzhi.

In 2011, Wuzhong District celebrated the tenth anniversary of its establishment. To review the district’s development, summarize its successes, and showcase its distinctive character, the Wuzhong District Party Committee and District Government organized a series of commemorative events marking the decade. The “Ten Thousand People View Wuzhong” initiative was one of these activities, with the Luzhi Scenic Area designated as one of the host venues.

On the afternoon of February 15, the first batch of more than 200 guests participating in the “Ten Thousand People Tour Wuzhong” event arrived at the Luzhi Scenic Area. These guests were drawn from all sectors of society, including cadres and ordinary citizens from various Party and government organs, enterprises, and public institutions in Wuzhong District; model figures from all walks of life; retired cadres; residents of subdistricts and communities; teachers and students; and grassroots rural residents.

The guests visited three notable sites: Baosheng Temple, one of the nation’s first batch of key cultural relics protection units; the renowned Wansheng Rice Mill; and the Luzhi Jiangnan Cultural Park, one of the top ten exemplary projects in Wuzhong District. They admired three iconic landmarks that epitomize Luzhi Town’s ancient, modern, and contemporary eras, which profoundly inspired a sense of pride as residents of Wuzhong. All were deeply proud of Luzhi Town’s development and of the achievements Wuzhong District has attained over its ten years since its establishment.
