Luzhi Tourism Company was awarded “ 2010 “Advanced Collective in Suzhou’s Tourism Work of the Year”

 

In 2010, under the sound leadership of the Party Committee and the local government, and with the care and support of higher-level tourism authorities, Luzhi Tourism Development Company seized the historic opportunity presented by the “World Expo Tourism Year.” Guided by the principle of “Serving the World Expo, Sharing the World Expo,” the company rigorously analyzed the situation, liberated its thinking, and capitalized on emerging opportunities. As part of the thematic campaign “The World Expo in Shanghai, Tourism in Suzhou,” it successfully fulfilled its tourism‑related reception duties and market‑promotion objectives for the Expo year. In 2010, the Luzhi Ancient Town area welcomed a total of 2.494 million domestic and international visitors, generating ticket revenues of RMB 19.3307 million—up 55.4% and 52.6%, respectively, compared with the same period the previous year—and earned high praise from the Luzhi Party Committee, the local government, and the superior tourism authorities.

In February 2011, the Suzhou Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government awarded Luzhi Tourism Development Company the title of “Advanced Collective in Suzhou’s Tourism Work for 2010.”
