On the morning of March 13, a delegation of experts from the national 5A‑level scenic‑spot appraisal team, including Professor Wang Xingguo of the Tsinghua Urban Planning and Design Institute in Beijing, paid a visit to the Luzhi Scenic Area for an inspection and research tour. They were accompanied by Wu Qiurong, Chairman of the Luzhi Town Trade Union, and Zhou Xuezhong, General Manager of the Luzhi Tourism Company, among others.

Professor Wang and his delegation visited the Luzhi Water Town Women’s Costume Museum, the Wansheng Rice Mill, the Historical Relics Museum, and the Jiangnan Cultural Park, among other attractions.

At the Museum of Women’s Costume, experts viewed an exhibition showcasing the distinctive water-town attire of Jiangnan women. They then enjoyed a captivating Suzhou tan ci performance on the ancient stage of the Cultural Park. During their field research, after hearing a briefing from the leadership of Luzhi Tourism Company on the preservation and tourism development of the ancient town, the experts offered their professional recommendations and insights on aspects such as scenic‑area tourism development and service management, while also expressing high praise for the town’s picturesque environment and its ongoing tourism‑development efforts.
