On March 16, more than thirty retired cadres from the Suzhou Municipal Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference paid a visit to the ancient town of Luzhi for an inspection and research tour. Zhu Xuexin, Vice Chairman of the Luzhi Town People’s Congress, Hong Taosheng, Deputy Mayor of Luzhi Town, and other officials accompanied the delegation.
The retired cadres visited attractions such as the Luzhi Water Town Women’s Costume Museum and the Jiangnan Cultural Park, where they watched with great interest the captivating folk performances staged on the park’s ancient opera stage. They gained a thorough understanding of the town’s tourism development, and expressed high praise for its picturesque environment, expressing deep satisfaction at the rapid growth of its tourism industry.
