On the afternoon of May 19, a six-member research delegation led by experts from the Wu Culture Research Association visited Luzhi Ancient Town to conduct an inspection and study. The group included former senior officials of Wuxian County who once oversaw the administration of Luzhi Town, as well as veteran scholars who have long been dedicated to the field of Wu culture research. They were accompanied on their visit by Mayor Wu Jinquan of the Luzhi Town Government, Trade Union Chairman Wu Qiurong, and General Manager Zhou Xuezhong of the tourism company.
The research team visited a series of attractions in Luzhi, including Baosheng Temple, the Jiangnan Cultural Park, the Historical Relics Museum, and the Women’s Costume Museum. The experts noted that today’s sites have changed significantly compared to their last visit to Luzhi several years ago, demonstrating that the ancient town places great emphasis on preserving its cultural relics and historic buildings during tourism development—efforts that reflect careful study and dedicated effort. At the same time, the team highly commended the town’s ingenious use of modern tools to showcase the rich heritage of intangible cultural assets from multiple levels and perspectives.
At the Jiangnan Cultural Park, experts visited the Jiangnan Academy of Painting and the Zhu Shouzhen Embroidery Art Museum. They expressed strong approval of the park’s decision to host these high‑end cultural institutions, which are deeply rooted in the distinctive cultural heritage of the Jiangnan region, noting that they have enriched the park’s artistic and cultural ambiance and truly lived up to its name. At the same time, the experts offered their professional guidance on the park’s future layout and development.
