On November 14, Li Ren, Vice Chairman of the Jiangsu Provincial Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and President of the Federation of Industry and Commerce, paid a visit to Luzhi to conduct an inspection and provide guidance. Accompanying him were Chen Lixin, Vice Chairman of the Suzhou Federation of Industry and Commerce; Zhou Yunxiang, Deputy Secretary of the Wuzhong District Party Committee; Lu Zenglin, Head of the United Front Work Department; Zhou Limin, President of the District Federation of Industry and Commerce; Jin Mingde, Vice President; Zhou Xuebin, Deputy Secretary of the Luzhi Town Party Committee and Town Mayor; and Gu Hanming, Member of the Town Party Committee and Deputy Town Mayor, among other leaders.
Chairman Li conducted an on-site inspection of the preservation and development efforts at Luzhi Ancient Town and the Jiangnan Cultural Park, and held a symposium with relevant leaders from the city, district, and town levels. He listened to reports on Luzhi Town’s economic development since the beginning of this year and on the work of the local chamber of commerce. Chairman Li fully commended the achievements made in economic development and the progress of the chamber’s activities, while expressing high appreciation for the chamber’s contributions to the town’s economic growth and social development. He urged Luzhi Town to further intensify its efforts to protect and develop the ancient town, striving to expand and strengthen its cultural tourism industry. Additionally, he called on the Luzhi Town Chamber of Commerce to better fulfill its functions, guiding private enterprises throughout the town to accelerate transformation and upgrading, bolster their competitive industries, and make new and even greater contributions to the town’s economic and social development and to the realization of the “two leading roles.”
