At 11:00 a.m. on the 25th, Feng Jianrong, Vice Mayor of Wuzhong District, paid a visit to the Luzhi Jiangnan Cultural Park to conduct an inspection and provide guidance. He was accompanied by Zhou Xuebin, Mayor of Luzhi Town; Cui Xueli, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee; Hong Taosheng, Deputy Mayor; Wu Qiurong, Chairman of the Town Federation of Trade Unions; and Zhou Xuezong, General Manager of the tourism company, among others.
After hearing a report from Luzhi Town on the progress of tourism projects—including the construction of the Level‑1 Tourist Center and the renovation of Lüduan Square—Deputy District Mayor Feng Jianrong first conducted an on-site inspection of the town’s distinctive old streets, such as Zhongshi Xihui. He then proceeded to the Cultural Park to tour several newly built tourist‑support facilities this year, including the Luzhi Relics Museum’s film and video hall and a four‑star public restroom. In addition, he received a briefing on the investment‑attraction efforts underway at Shengtang Fuli Street within the Cultural Park.
Vice District Mayor Feng fully commended the achievements made in Luzhi’s tourism sector since the beginning of this year and expressed high appreciation for the scenic area’s contributions to the preservation and development of the ancient town. He stated that Luzhi boasts a rich history spanning more than 2,500 years, stunning natural scenery, and a profound cultural heritage, making its future prospects in ancient-town tourism exceptionally promising.
Vice District Mayor Feng urged the scenic area, under the new tourism plan, to seize opportunities, accelerate the construction of key tourism projects, strengthen and expand the cultural tourism industry, and enhance the quality of its tourism services, thereby laying a solid foundation for striving to achieve 5A‑level status.
