On the morning of April 8, Li Jinhua, Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, accompanied by relevant leaders of the municipal CPPCC, paid a visit to Luzhi for an inspection tour. Lu Zhenhua, Secretary of the Luzhi Town Party Committee, and others joined the delegation.
Chairman Li conducted an on-site inspection of the construction and management at several scenic spots in Luzhi Ancient Town, including Baosheng Temple, the riverside old street, and the Jiangnan Cultural Park. At the ancient stage in the Jiangnan Cultural Park, he enjoyed performances such as the Lianxiang Dance, which showcases Luzhi’s distinctive local character. He also listened to a report by Lu Zhenhua, Secretary of the Town Party Committee, on Luzhi Town’s economic and social development in recent years. In particular, after hearing about the town’s vision for the preservation and sustainable development of its ancient‑town tourism resources, Chairman Li expressed full appreciation for Luzhi’s efforts in inheriting, protecting, and developing its cultural‑tourism heritage. In high spirits, he even left behind a treasured calligraphy inscription within the thousand‑year‑old Baosheng Temple: “Luzhi Ancient Town—A Water Town Dreamed in the Heart.”
