On November 2, Luzhi Town convened a town-wide meeting of leading cadres. District Party Secretary Yu Xingnan, Standing Committee Member and Organization Department Head Zhang Binghua, and Standing Committee Member and Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee of the Resort Area as well as Deputy Director of the Management Committee Lu Zhenhua, along with other district-level leaders, attended the meeting. More than 150 cadres from both levels of Luzhi Town participated. The meeting was chaired by Comrade Zhang Binghua, a member of the District Party Committee’s Standing Committee and Head of the Organization Department. During the meeting, Minister Zhang Binghua read out the District Party Committee’s decision on adjustments to the principal leadership positions of the Luzhi Town Party Committee, appointing Comrade Wu Jingyu as Secretary of the Luzhi Town Party Committee and Secretary of the Party Working Committee of the Chenghu Agricultural Park.

Secretary Yu of the District Party Committee delivered an important address. He highly commended and affirmed the achievements that Luzhi Town has attained in recent years under the leadership of Secretary Lu Zhenhua, as it has pursued development in line with the new round of urban and industrial planning—“a second wave of entrepreneurship and transformative innovation.” The town has seen comprehensive improvements across industrial development, urban planning and construction, social programs, and Party building, with its three major sectors achieving coordinated and sound growth.

Secretary Yu expressed his hope that the new Party and government leadership team of Luzhi Town would ground themselves in the realities of development, continue to pioneer and innovate, and lead all cadres and the people of the town in advancing Luzhi’s economic and social development with greater substance, higher quality, and more tangible results. He also put forward four expectations and requirements: First, It is essential to align thinking, stay resolute in our direction, and drive quality improvement and efficiency gains across the three sectors. We must continue to seize opportunities, leverage our strengths, and advance with pragmatism, accelerating the development of modern agriculture—centered on the Chenghu Modern Agricultural Demonstration Park—advanced manufacturing characterized by the mold industry, and modern services led by ancient-town tourism, thereby fostering coordinated progress and enhanced quality and efficiency across all three sectors. Second, We must seize opportunities, work diligently and pragmatically, and vigorously advance the construction of beautiful towns and villages. By firmly capitalizing on this momentum, we will further emphasize “revitalizing the town through transportation, establishing it on industry, and making it a livable place,” and systematically promote the development, protection, and management of the three major zones: the historic town area, the new town area, and the Chenghu Agricultural Park. Third is We must uphold democracy, strengthen unity, and pool our strengths to drive our work forward; attach great importance to unity, carefully safeguard it, and cherish the opportunities and platforms afforded by the organization. We should embrace the principle that “those in office must deliver results, and only through performance can one secure their position,” and, in accordance with the twenty-character standard for exemplary cadres—“firm in conviction, dedicated to serving the people, diligent and pragmatic, courageous in taking responsibility, and upright and clean”—devote ourselves wholeheartedly to getting things done and pursuing development with all our might. Fourth is We must uphold integrity and self-discipline, promote upright conduct, and cultivate an image of wholehearted dedication to the people. Always bear in mind the Party’s fundamental principle of serving the public good and governing for the people, earnestly put into practice the service ethos of “being close to the people, loving the people, and serving the people,” and, in this new phase of development, take proactive action, make dedicated contributions, and bravely shoulder heavy responsibilities.

At the meeting, Lu Zhenhua, former Secretary of the Luzhi Town Party Committee, reflected on his two-year tenure in Luzhi, during which he worked diligently and spearheaded initiatives. He expressed his hope that, under the leadership of the District Party Committee and District Government and guided by Secretary Wu, Luzhi Town will leverage its strengths, forge ahead with bold steps, strive for higher rankings, and achieve leapfrog development.

Secretary Wu Jingyu stated that, under the strong leadership of the District Party Committee and the District Government, he is confident and determined to closely unite with the leadership team of Luzhi Town, rely firmly on the cadres and people of Luzhi, and devote himself wholeheartedly to ensuring that all tasks are carried out thoroughly and effectively. He pledged to strive to achieve four key objectives: first, to strengthen learning and enhance competence; second, to build on past achievements while forging ahead, thereby advancing the cause; third, to uphold honesty and trustworthiness, fostering democracy and unity; and fourth, to govern with diligence and integrity, thereby establishing a positive public image.
