On the afternoon of December 4, Le Jiang, a member of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee and Head of the Publicity Department, visited Luzhi Town to conduct a field inspection of cultural and tourism initiatives. He was accompanied by Wu Jingyu, Secretary of the Luzhi Town Party Committee, and Chen Julin, a member of the Town Party Committee and Deputy Mayor, among other officials.

Minister Le successively inspected and conducted on-site research at several projects, including the Chenghu Agricultural Park, the Zhongzhu Jewelry Industrial Park, the second-phase development of Guzhen Town, the Zhang Sheng Art Museum, and the Luzhi Tourist Service Center. She expressed full appreciation for Luzhi’s cultural and tourism initiatives in recent years and encouraged the town to, in line with the district committee’s directives and the development strategy of “simultaneous advancement of three zones, parallel progress of three industries, and integrated development of three types of tourism,” further promote the integrated development of its cultural and tourism sectors with greater quality and efficiency, thereby continuing to uphold and enhance its reputation as “China’s Premier Water Town.”

Deputy Director Tong Mingkang of the State Administration of Cultural Heritage and his delegation visited Luzhi to assess the current status of historic town preservation.

French-Chinese national Shen Naizhi, accompanied by descendants of the Shen clan, returned to Luzhi Town to trace their roots and pay respects to their ancestors.
