To mark the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China and to deepen the implementation of the “Two Studies, One Action” study-and-education campaign, on July 5, the Luzhi Tourism Party Branch organized all its members to visit and study at sites including the Red Fourteenth Army Memorial Hall in Rugao and the Huangqiao Campaign Memorial Hall in Taixing.
The Rugao Memorial Hall of the 14th Red Army is divided into eight main exhibition halls—“Dawn over the Jianghai Region,” “Rising Tides and Surging Waters,” “Upholding Righteousness and Launching the Campaign,” and others—presenting, through an extensive array of photographs, texts, and authentic artifacts, the arduous, heroic, and deeply moving revolutionary history of the 14th Red Army. The Huangqiao Campaign Memorial Hall, designated as a “National Model Base for Patriotic Education,” showcases the revolutionary history of how the Northern Jiangsu Command, led by comrades such as Chen Yi and Su Yu, carried out the directives of the CPC Central Committee and Chairman Mao, secured victory in the Huangqiao Campaign, laid the foundation for the Northern Jiangsu anti-Japanese democratic base area, and opened up a new phase in the War of Resistance in Central China.
During the visit, by examining exhibition panels and listening to guided explanations, the Party members of the branch revisited the heroic deeds of revolutionary martyrs, absorbed the indomitable spirit of struggle displayed by pioneering revolutionaries, and underwent a profound ideological cleansing. The members unanimously pledged to remain committed to their posts, perform their duties with dedication, uphold the “Four Emphases and Four Qualities” principles, strive to be exemplary Party members, and play a leading role in contributing fresh efforts to transforming Luzhi Ancient Town into a renowned cultural‑tourism destination for Wuzhong District and even Suzhou as a whole.
