To effectively promote public awareness of the Civil Code and continuously meet the people’s aspirations for a better life, on October 20, the Party branches of Luzhi Town Tourism Company, Luzhi Town Judicial Office, Luzhi Town Party and Government Office, and Jiangsu Kunxiang Law Firm jointly organized a series of legal‑education activities under the theme “A Better Life: The Civil Code by Your Side,” fully leveraging the leading role of Party building. Leaders of the tourism company’s management team, the secretary of the judicial office, and staff from relevant departments attended the event.

The event was divided into three phases, with the first phase consisting of a special lecture titled “An Interpretation of Key Provisions of the Civil Code.” Conducted in an interactive Q&A format, the lecture featured Attorney Shen Fang from Kunxiang Law Firm, who used clear and accessible language to provide a detailed analysis of commonly encountered legal provisions in the Civil Code—covering areas such as personal dignity, marriage and family, property inheritance, and tort liability—and their relevance to employees’ professional and daily lives. Additionally, through case‑based explanations, she addressed issues related to safety management at tourist attractions. Following the lecture, participants engaged in a lively discussion, during which Attorney Shen promptly addressed their questions and clarified any ambiguities. This specialized legal seminar helped employees deepen their understanding of the Civil Code, enhance their legal awareness, strengthen their ability to apply the law in managing scenic areas, and improve their overall level of compliant operations.

In the second phase, legal‑education volunteers organized a publicity campaign on the Civil Code at Lüduan Square. Using clear and accessible language, they explained the provisions of the Civil Code to residents and tourists, promoted the “12348” legal aid platform, answered participants’ legal questions on the spot, and distributed small gifts to those who took part in the event.

In the third phase, the legal‑popularization volunteer team hosted a Civil Code–themed legal salon at Guangying Villa. Attorney Du Songsong of Kunxiang Law Firm used real‑world cases to analyze the legal issues commonly encountered in the operation of guesthouses. In response to inquiries from guesthouse owners on how to handle situations where guests, through their own negligent actions, cause accidental injuries to themselves or others on the premises, Attorney Du provided detailed guidance on the spot.
Through this public legal education campaign, public awareness of the law has been further enhanced, a favorable tourism environment has been effectively fostered, the safety‑prevention awareness of homestay operators has been strengthened, and the level of safety management at scenic areas has been improved.
