On November 6, Hu Meizhen, secretary of the Party branch of the tourism company, led Party members and volunteers from the tourism branch to Hubang Village to jointly launch a series of paired‑construction activities titled “Two Fortresses, One Heart: Building a Beautiful New Hubang,” in collaboration with the village’s Party General Branch. The theme of this initiative was to assist the Hubang Village Party General Branch in conducting door-to-door publicity and registration for the population census.
“Rice bags and vegetable baskets—the key is to get a clear picture of how many households there are.” Starting November 1, the Seventh National Population Census officially commenced. Following preparatory work—including public awareness campaigns, telephone inquiries, and computer-based registration—the Party Branch of Hubang Village formally launched door-to-door enumeration on November 6, adhering to the principle of “leaving no house, no household, and no person unaccounted for.” Recognizing that household enumeration is the most critical phase of the census, as well as the stage requiring the greatest effort and mobilizing the largest workforce, the Party Branch of the tourism company decided to assign Party members and volunteers to assist the Hubang Village Party Branch in carrying out the population census.

“Hello, we’re census takers from the Hubang Village Committee, and we’d like to learn a bit about your household.” Led by the village grid chief, Party members and volunteers began conducting door-to-door surveys, asking residents for the head of household’s name, the number of permanent residents, details on any newly arrived family members, and other relevant information. They also distributed public-service advertisements promoting “practicing thrift and opposing waste,” along with the “Notice on Installing Gas-Leakage Safety Devices in Catering Establishments in Luzhi Town,” to staff at the two agritourism establishments, Chenghu Xianju and Feilu Nonglv.
It is reported that, in the preliminary phase of the census, the village committee has conducted extensive publicity through banners and notices to raise public awareness and enhance residents’ cooperation. With the household‑level enumeration now underway, the committee will, while continuing its routine duties, rigorously adhere to census requirements and steadily advance all preparatory work, ensuring that no household or individual is overlooked during the registration process.
Going forward, the Party branch of the tourism company will continue to collaborate with the Party General Branch of Hubang Village to organize a variety of paired‑construction initiatives, ensuring tangible progress and shared development with the village it is paired with.
