The Luzhi Ancient Town Scenic Area has meticulously planned the “Serene Delight in Luzhi: Zongzi Celebrates the Dragon Boat Festival” themed event, ensuring a robust supply of cultural and tourism offerings for the holiday, continually enriching on-site activities, and enhancing the overall visitor experience.
Ahead of the Dragon Boat Festival, the scenic area held a meeting to coordinate holiday operations, meticulously planning for environmental hygiene, market order, visitor services, and safety management. Staff conducted thorough safety inspections to identify and address potential hazards, while thoughtfully designing themed activities and interactive programs to enhance visitors’ experiences and foster a joyful, peaceful, and welcoming festive atmosphere. During the holiday, all personnel were on duty, and volunteers were recruited to provide guidance, information, ticketing, guided tours, and boat‑ride services, while promoting responsible and safe tourism. Security teams were reinforced to intensify patrols and inspections, strengthen crowd‑control measures, and prevent congestion. Cleaning crews were bolstered to increase garbage removal and mobile sanitation efforts, ensuring both market order and environmental cleanliness and offering visitors a tidy, comfortable setting.
During the holiday, the scenic area has organized a range of activities at the Jiangnan Cultural Park, including free consultations by renowned doctors to ensure a healthy Dragon Boat Festival, traditional realgar‑painted foreheads for good fortune, captivating performances on the ancient stage, a lively fireworks market brimming with local charm, complimentary sachets when you take a boat ride, and a series of ticket‑discount surprises. In addition, the park is offering 20% off all its cultural‑creative products and has teamed up with popular local vendors to launch special combo deals. To mark the summer season, the park is also rolling out a special benefit: recent middle‑school and high‑school graduates, teachers, and workers in emerging industries such as food delivery and courier services can enjoy free admission upon presenting valid identification. During this year’s Dragon Boat Festival holiday, the Luzhi Ancient Town scenic area maintained orderly and safe operations, with no tourism-related complaints reported. According to statistics, over the three-day period, the site welcomed a total of 68,300 visitors and generated direct revenue of RMB 533,400—up 102.67% and 216.37%, respectively, compared with the same period last year, and up 5.08% and 0.04%, respectively, versus the corresponding period in 2019.
