To thoroughly publicize and implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important expositions on work safety, and to earnestly carry out the decisions and arrangements of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council, the Luzhi Ancient Town Scenic Area has launched a “Work Safety Month” campaign under the theme “Everyone Talks Safety, Everyone Knows How to Respond to Emergencies,” with the aim of strengthening the concept of safe development, fulfilling work‑safety responsibilities, deepening targeted inspections and rectification of major accident hazards, effectively preventing and mitigating significant safety risks, resolutely curbing the occurrence of accidents caused by hidden dangers, and continuously building a safe and secure scenic area.
The scenic area has placed tourism safety manuals and brochures at the visitor center, posted safety‑production posters, and used electronic displays and televisions to repeatedly broadcast safety‑production slogans and warning videos. Staff have also ventured into the ancient town’s streets and alleys, distributing safety‑production manuals and brochures to tourists, residents, and business owners, thereby promoting awareness of safety‑production and tourism‑safety practices, further enhancing understanding and safety consciousness, and firmly reinforcing the safety barrier.
On the morning of June 20, the scenic area actively organized activities for “Safety Production Month,” conducting self‑initiated safety inspections. The inspections covered building safety, electrical and water usage, fire‑fighting equipment, visitor facilities, and gas‑related operations at several attractions, the cruise‑boat pier, and other subordinate assets. For any hazards or issues identified during the inspections, the relevant departments and the heads of subsidiary asset management were instructed to implement immediate corrective measures and complete rectification within a specified timeframe, resolutely eliminating safety risks, firmly upholding the bottom line of safe production, and ensuring the continued stability of the scenic area’s safety‑production situation.
On June 25, the scenic area organized personnel to conduct a fire safety emergency drill, disseminating knowledge on the proper use of firefighting equipment and enhancing skills in initial fire suppression, self-rescue, and safe evacuation, as well as practical firefighting and rescue techniques for handling large-scale fires. The exercise ensured that every staff member at the scenic area remains fully aware of their safety responsibilities and is proficient in fire prevention measures and emergency preparedness.
Through the implementation of this “Work Safety Month” campaign, the scenic area has continuously strengthened safety awareness, solidified the concept of safe development, and effectively enhanced its fire‑fighting and emergency rescue capabilities. These efforts have further tightened the work‑safety chain, ensuring a stable and improving safety situation throughout the area and laying a robust foundation for building a safe and secure scenic destination.
