　　In the height of autumn in Jiangnan, in the eighth lunar month, water chestnuts gleam like round pearls. Within the Shui Baxian Ecological and Cultural Park, the leaves of the Euryale ferox spread across the water’s surface, painting a heartening scene of bountiful harvest.

The bamboo sword slices open the large fruit, revealing a bountiful harvest as densely packed inside as pomegranate seeds. A specially crafted copper nail gently peels back the tangerine‑red rind, exposing the succulent, tender flesh of water chestnuts. Strolling through the fields, you’re treated to a one‑of‑a‑kind nature‑based science lesson.
