To effectively strengthen the standardized management of hotels in Luzhi Ancient Town and further elevate the overall quality of the tourism service sector, on April 14, the Town Tourism Office and the Tourism Company convened a symposium, bringing together the managers of seven hotels located near the scenic area—including Xihui, Jiangnan Village, Mantianxing, and others—to discuss the development of Luzhi’s tourism industry.
At the symposium, the tourism company began by presenting an overview of the ancient town’s tourism offerings. Deputy General Manager Wang Peinan outlined the current state of the scenic area and the market landscape, urging all hotels to share their insights and suggestions to collaboratively enhance the quality of guest services. Deputy General Manager Gu Hui detailed the town’s development progress, with particular emphasis on the second-phase rollout of leisure‑oriented businesses and the expansion of parking capacity, helping attendees gain a deeper understanding of the town’s ongoing evolution. Meanwhile, Deputy General Manager Bao Rongquan conveyed higher‑level directives: tourist hotels will now fall under official oversight, necessitating strengthened internal management and heightened attention to food safety. Following this, hotel managers took the floor to exchange views, engaging in lively discussions on topics such as closed‑area management, coordination with tour groups, and innovation in signature dishes. Participants voiced their perspectives and put forward numerous well‑reasoned recommendations.
After thoroughly soliciting feedback, the scenic area has put forward several recommendations for the next phase of development of local hotels: First, leverage Luzhi’s culinary heritage to diversify and enrich the regional cuisine, attracting more visitors by developing signature dishes. Second, introduce a ticket‑resale service: the scenic area will offer preferential policies, while hotels can sell tickets on its behalf, creating mutual benefits. Third, establish an industry‑wide exchange platform to share tourism resources and set up a WeChat group to facilitate communication between stakeholders. Fourth, actively participate in the “263” special campaign, strengthen environmental hygiene management, and make hotel restrooms freely accessible to tourists.
