With the Dragon Boat Festival holiday approaching, in order to further strengthen workplace safety at the Luzhi Ancient Town Scenic Area, ensure the continued stability of safety conditions during the holiday period, and foster a safe, peaceful, and joyful festive atmosphere, the Luzhi Ancient Town Scenic Area conducted a pre-holiday self-inspection of workplace safety on the afternoon of May 29.
The inspection team conducted on-site checks of key safety‑related areas, including several scenic attractions, the cruise‑boat pier, and various visitor facilities. The inspection focused on the structural integrity of attraction buildings, fire‑safety systems, electrical and water‑supply usage, and pier railings, with particular attention paid to roof tiles and bricks, wooden columns and beams, emergency lighting, fire‑escape routes, fire extinguishers, safety signage, water‑rescue equipment, and unauthorized or haphazard wiring. During the inspection, it was found that certain exhibits featured cracked display‑case glass, deformed railings at the cruise‑boat pier, and loose revetments—conditions that pose potential safety hazards.
Following the inspection, the inspection team promptly notified the heads of the relevant departments, instructing them to immediately address all issues identified during the review. For matters that cannot be rectified on the spot, they were directed to issue clear safety advisories. At the same time, the team was urged to draw broader lessons from this experience, intensify routine patrols and inspections, and promptly implement preventive measures, thereby resolutely preventing potential hazards and accidents and ensuring the continued stability and steady improvement of workplace safety within the scenic area.
