Luzhi Town convened a meeting to advance the special initiative for building a “Beautiful Town,” focusing on the town’s suburban fringe and street‑side business operations.

On August 14, Shen Shannan, Chairman of the People’s Congress of Luzhi Town, and Wang Zonglin, Deputy Town Mayor, convened the principal heads of 15 departments—including the Ancient Town Management Committee, the Patriotic Health Office, the Water Conservancy Station, the Urban Management Brigade, and the Traffic Management Office—to hold a meeting on advancing the special initiative to build Luzhi Town into a “Beautiful Town,” with a particular focus on the town’s suburban fringe and street‑side business operations.
The progress meeting began with an on-site inspection of the environmental conditions in the peri‑urban fringe areas surrounding the ancient town. Drawing on public feedback, it assigned immediate remediation tasks to specific sections of Funan Village and Fuli Community, along Yingbin Road, and in the vicinity of the farmers’ market.
Relevant officials from the Town Health Promotion Office and the Town Urban Management Brigade respectively provided an overview of the special rectification plan targeting the peri‑urban fringe and illegal roadside vending, and clearly delineated the responsibilities and tasks of the various departments involved in the remediation efforts.
Deputy Town Mayor Wang Zonglin briefed the relevant departments on matters pertaining to urban sanitation management, environmental order, the historic town’s landscape and character, and the tidiness and standardization of street blocks. He urged each department to strengthen oversight, tailor measures to local conditions, prioritize refined design, and establish clear, unified standards.
With regard to the town-wide “Beautiful Town” initiative, Chairperson Shen Shinnan has instructed all relevant departments as follows: First, fully recognize the profound significance of building a “Beautiful Town” and accord it the highest priority; second, clearly define responsibilities, take the lead in coordination, and emphasize concerted efforts to advance the project in a coordinated manner; third, refine and optimize all plans, integrate targeted measures with broader strategic objectives, and meticulously plan and implement them.
