To earnestly study and implement the spirit of the National Two Sessions, ensure its thorough and effective implementation, and at the same time, properly manage tourism services at the Luzhi Scenic Area during the Dragon Boat Festival holiday, the Luzhi Tourism Party Branch held a June-themed Party Day activity and a meeting to arrange the company’s tourism operations for the Dragon Boat Festival on June 23. Attending the meeting were the company’s leadership team, deputy heads and above from all departments, all Party members, prospective Party members, as well as the heads of Baosheng Temple, Hengruida, and Wuchu Property Management Company; staff from the Marketing Center attended as observers.

The meeting was divided into two parts. First, the branch held its June themed Party Day activity, during which participants attentively watched the “Why China Can” series and short videos on Suzhou’s waste-sorting guidelines. Following this, Secretary Hu Meizhen of the branch conveyed the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speeches delivered at the 2020 Two Sessions, including his address titled “Uniting and Cooperating to Overcome the Pandemic and Jointly Building a Community of Health for All Mankind—Opening Remarks at the Video Conference of the 73rd World Health Assembly,” as well as his speeches at the First Session of the 13th National People’s Congress and at the Symposium on Winning the Battle Against Poverty through Targeted Measures.

The second phase involved the deployment of tourism‑related work for the Dragon Boat Festival holiday. First, Deputy General Manager Gu Hui of the company conveyed and studied Document No. 69 [2020] issued by the District Government Office, “Notice on Issuing the Implementation Plan for the Prosperity and Development of the Nighttime Economy in Wuzhong District.” Subsequently, General Manager Zhou Lei of the company presented Documents No. 41 [2020] issued by the Wuzhong District Epidemic Prevention and Control Command Office—“Notice on Forwarding Notice No. 17 of the Suzhou Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia Epidemic Prevention and Control Command”—as well as Documents No. 23 [2020] from the Wuzhong District Epidemic Prevention and Control Command—“Notice on Further Plugging Loopholes and Addressing Weaknesses to Ensure Routine COVID‑19 Prevention and Control”—along with key reminders on routine epidemic prevention and control in Wuzhong District, the remarks delivered by Minister Luo Shugang, Party Secretary of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, at the 2020 televised conference on tourism during the Dragon Boat Festival holiday and scenic‑spot reopening management, and the notice issued by the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism regarding the effective organization of cultural and tourism market activities during the 2020 Dragon Boat Festival. Following this, each department of the company reported on its preparations for handling the festival period, including specific measures, existing challenges, and matters requiring company coordination. Meanwhile, the two property management companies, Hengruida and Wuchu Property, respectively outlined their work plans and detailed measures concerning security and cleaning services at scenic spots during the holiday.

Finally, General Manager Zhou Lei provided a comprehensive plan for tourism operations during the Dragon Boat Festival holiday and outlined four key requirements: First, rigorously implement all epidemic prevention and control measures, with strict entry screening. All visitors must make real-name reservations, register, wear masks, present their Suzhou Health Code, have their temperature checked, and provide travel‑history verification. Entry flow must be tightly managed in accordance with guidelines, with instantaneous visitor numbers not exceeding 30% of the venue’s approved capacity, while ensuring personal protective measures and routine disinfection. Second, strengthen tourism safety management and place utmost emphasis on holiday‑season safety. During the holiday period, reinforce safety protocols, strictly enforce duty‑roster systems, and intensify patrols and security measures. Increase security presence and inspection frequency in areas prone to crowding and along riverfronts, promptly guide and disperse crowds, and ensure that Dragon Boat Festival tourism proceeds safely and in an orderly manner. Third, enhance environmental and public‑order management, with meticulous attention to park security and cleaning. Boost security patrols and increase the frequency of sanitation efforts, tighten order‑management within the cultural park, and carefully cultivate a clean, attractive festive atmosphere. Fourth, deliver high‑quality tourism services. All departments and front‑line staff should strengthen their service mindset, standardize service procedures, strictly adhere to workplace discipline, maintain a professional demeanor while on duty, and work overtime to provide visitors with exceptional service.
