According to the National Holiday Office’s “Notice on Matters Concerning the Conduct of Forecasting and Statistical Work for the 2011 Spring Festival Golden Week” (Holiday Office [ No. 4, 2011) Requirements: In 2011, our city’s tourism forecast and statistical reporting for the Spring Festival Golden Week will be conducted from January 26 to February 8 this year. To ensure the smooth completion of national and provincial holiday tourism forecasting and statistical work, on Monday, January 24, in the morning… ( (10:30 a.m. has been removed.) The 2011 Suzhou Spring Festival Golden Week Statistics Department Work Conference was held in the third-floor conference room of Building No. 1 of the Municipal Tourism Bureau.
The meeting was chaired by Director Xu Zheng of the Planning and Development Division of the Suzhou Municipal Tourism Bureau. Attendees included representatives from the Municipal Garden Bureau, the Ethnic and Religious Affairs Bureau, the Culture, Radio, Television, and Press Bureau, the Transportation Bureau’s Transport Management Division, the Commerce Bureau, Suzhou Railway Station, and the Suzhou Catering Chamber of Commerce—each responsible for holiday tourism statistics. At the outset, Director Xu Zheng outlined the overall requirements and key priorities for this year’s Golden Week statistical work. She noted that the scope of this year’s data collection encompasses all star-rated hotels, travel agencies, major tourist attractions, designated public restaurants, and relevant government departments across the city. Following this, Director Xu provided a detailed overview of the information to be reported, including passenger transport volumes during the Golden Week, occupancy and rental rates at tourist accommodations, city‑level summaries of tourist接待, actual reception and tour‑group arrangements by travel agencies, as well as visitor numbers and revenue at major scenic spots. The meeting also clarified the procedures for submitting this information, with the Planning and Development Division of the Municipal Tourism Bureau guiding all participating units in mastering the online holiday tourism reporting system.
Finally, all participating agencies pledged to fully cooperate with this statistical reporting effort, ensuring that the city’s tourism sector enjoys a joyful and peaceful Spring Festival Golden Week.
