December 4 this year marks the tenth National Constitution Day and the sixth Constitution Promotion Week. To thoroughly study and implement Xi Jinping’s Thought on the Rule of Law, promote the spirit of the Constitution, and safeguard its authority, on December 5 the Luzhi Ancient Town Scenic Area launched a campaign to honor, study, abide by, uphold, and apply the Constitution, further advancing the development of a “rule-of-law‑based scenic area.”
The scenic area utilizes electronic displays, televisions, and other promotional media to continuously broadcast slogans and videos; it has placed relevant informational materials in the visitor center lobby and dispatched staff to patrol the streets and alleys throughout the site, distributing brochures on the Civil Code and the Luxi Rule of Law Culture Scenic Area, as well as a “Legal Education and Awareness Handbook.” These materials aim to disseminate essential constitutional knowledge and highlight legal issues closely tied to daily life and work, covering topics such as general legal literacy, employment and production, residential living, risk prevention, special protections, and legal services. Through these efforts, the area seeks to further enhance public legal awareness and adherence to the rule of law, encouraging residents to conscientiously comply with applicable laws and regulations and to safeguard their legitimate rights and interests in accordance with the law.
Through the implementation of this publicity campaign, a favorable atmosphere for legal education has been fostered, effective channels for learning about the law have been broadened, and the sustained, long-term promotion of constitutional awareness and education has been advanced. As a result, the general public has consciously developed the habits of studying, abiding by, and applying the law, further advancing the building of a socialist culture of rule of law and enhancing the public’s legal literacy.
