On December 15, the 2023 Wuzhong District Scenic‑Spot Brand Guide Evaluation Competition was held at the Taihe Convention and Exhibition Center. The event combined a written examination with an on‑site presentation assessment, aiming to further enhance guides’ professional expertise, cultivate a high‑caliber, top‑notch team of tour guides, and boost the market visibility and reputation of Wuzhong District’s tourism offerings.
Following a preliminary written examination, four tour guides from the Luzhi Scenic Area advanced to the final evaluation round. The evaluation comprises two components: a prescribed‑site presentation and a self‑selected‑site presentation, covering detailed introductions to attractions across the entire district. With its broad scope, this stage places high demands on the guides’ breadth of knowledge and their in-depth understanding of Wuzhong District’s various scenic spots, serving as a rigorous test of their overall professional competence.

Before the competition, the docents meticulously prepared their scripts, presentation slides, and background music. At the event, four docents from the Luzhi Scenic Area vividly and engagingly highlighted the unique features and historical‑cultural significance of each attraction, using clear, accessible language that made the experience feel truly immersive. Throughout, they maintained warm smiles and engaged in friendly, interactive exchanges with the audience.

In the end, the four docents earned high praise from the judges thanks to their professional interpreting skills, solid subject knowledge, outstanding expressiveness, and enthusiastic service attitude. Xu Shuqing and Gu Yueting were awarded the title of Gold‑Medal Docent, while Jin Muhua and Jin Caiping received the Silver‑Medal Docent designation.

Receiving the honorary title of “Brand Interpreter” this time is a testament to and recognition of the interpreter’s outstanding performance, as well as that of the Luzhi Scenic Area’s interpretation team, over an extended period. Through this competition, the interpreters at the Luzhi Scenic Area have fully showcased their professional prowess, further strengthening their resolve and confidence in continuously enhancing their expertise.
