The Luzhi Ancient Town Scenic Area has launched a self-inspection of its tourism facilities and fire safety.

During this period, continuous rainfall and freezing temperatures have led to a surge in safety incidents across various regions, resulting in a grave situation for workplace safety. To thoroughly learn from these accidents, strengthen tourism‑related safety measures, and ensure that the overall safety landscape remains stable and improves, the Luzhi Ancient Town Scenic Area conducted a self‑inspection of its tourism facilities and fire safety on the morning of February 26.
The inspection team conducted an on-site review of all existing attractions within the scenic area, as well as several micro‑fire stations, commercial establishments, and privately owned assets. Focused inspections were carried out at key areas, including buildings, bridges and revetments, roof structures and canopies, advertising signs and shopfronts, tour boats, and piers. The team meticulously examined whether materials were illegally stockpiled on roofs or canopies, whether unauthorized extensions had been constructed, whether structural members exhibited significant rusting or deformation, whether connections at joints were loose or damaged, whether water accumulation and ice formation persisted along bridge revetments, whether safety warning signs were appropriately and adequately installed, whether fire‑fighting equipment was fully in place, whether emergency lighting functioned properly, whether fire‑safety evacuation routes remained unobstructed, and whether open flames and electrical wiring were being used in violation of regulations, as well as whether electric‑vehicle parking and charging complied with applicable rules. During the inspection, it was discovered that the fire‑safety evacuation routes at certain attractions had been locked, posing potential safety hazards.
Following the inspection, the person in charge of workplace safety at the scenic area promptly notified the heads of relevant departments, instructing them to immediately address all identified hazards and rectify any deficiencies, ensuring that fire‑safety and evacuation routes remain unobstructed. At the same time, they were directed to draw broader lessons from these findings, intensify routine patrols and inspections, and rigorously implement and refine safety measures, thereby resolutely preventing accidents caused by latent risks and fully safeguarding the continued stability of workplace safety within the scenic area.
