On November 6, the Fifth National Summit on Campus Literature Studies was solemnly held at Xi’an Middle School. More than 300 distinguished literary figures from across the country, members of the Campus Literature Committee of the Chinese Contemporary Literature Research Association, as well as principals and teacher representatives from renowned schools in various provinces and municipalities, attended the forum.
At the opening ceremony of the Fifth National Symposium on Campus Literature, President Bai Ye and Ms. Ye Xiaomo unveiled the plaque for the “Ye Shengtao Teacher Literature Award Organizing Committee.” Ms. Ye Xiaomo announced that, beginning with the third edition, the “National Teacher Literature Award” would be renamed the “Ye Shengtao Teacher Literature Award,” to be hosted by the Chinese Contemporary Literature Research Association and co-organized by the People’s Government of Luzhi Town, Wuzhong District, Suzhou, Jiangsu Province.
It is reported that the “National Teachers’ Literature Award,” hosted by the Chinese Contemporary Literature Research Association, has been successfully held twice. To carry forward Ye Shengtao’s literary spirit and educational philosophy, to encourage teachers’ literary creation, to enrich campus culture, to enhance teachers’ literary cultivation, to showcase the literary talent, emotional depth, and personal charisma of today’s educators, and to recognize high‑caliber teachers who, like Ye Shengtao, possess a profound literary sensibility, the Chinese Contemporary Literature Research Association, with authorization from representatives of Ye Shengtao’s family, will rename the “National Teachers’ Literature Award” as the “Ye Shengtao Teachers’ Literature Award” starting with its third edition next year.
Luzhi is the “second hometown” that has long held Mr. Ye Shengtao’s heart and mind. The People’s Government of Luzhi Town, Wuzhong District, Suzhou City, attaches great importance to and actively supports cultural and educational endeavors, and has decided to co‑host the selection process for the “Ye Shengtao Teacher Literature Award” in collaboration with the Campus Literature Committee of the Chinese Contemporary Literature Research Association. Luzhi Town will serve as the base for administering this prestigious award.
