Wang Chuanfu, born in 1920, was a native of Luzhi Town, Wuxian County, and resided at Dongshishang Tang Street in Luzhi. From an early age, he grew up in a happy and harmonious family, where he was the second child. In his youth, he attended Shude Middle School in Suzhou. In 1936, he enrolled at Lida College in Shanghai and took part in the school’s student protests. While studying in Shanghai, Wang Chuanfu came into contact with numerous revolutionary books and periodicals, and often engaged in discussions with his maternal cousin, Wang Shaozeng, which further kindled his revolutionary consciousness.

This year marks the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. On the occasion of this centenary, the Leading Group for Party History Study and Education under the Luzhi Town Party Committee mobilized all departments and units across the town to launch the “Doing Practical Things for the People” campaign.
